This document applies to our Y-Roam app (App) and our website y-roam.com (our site).

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to in it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. For the purpose of the Data Protection (Bailiwick Of Guernsey) Law, 2017 (the Act), the data controller is Y-Roam (Guernsey) Limited of YROAM HOUSE, Sunnycroft, The Grange, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 2QG.

Y-Roam (Guernsey) Limited is registered with the Office of The Data Protection Commissioner as a data controller under registration number 58683.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

Information you give to us (‘Submitted Information’). You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site or within the App, or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, or register or download our App, subscribe to our service, search for a product, place an order on our site, participate in an interactive panel where you can input information regarding how often you access your emails or watch videos, for instance, which means we can assess what type of data package would suit your needs best. (When you make an input into an interactive panel, the information is not stored and no personal details from you are required to be entered). It also includes information you provide when you report a problem with our App or our site. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, the device’s telephone number, your username, password and other registration information, images taken or stored within the App, financial and credit or debit card information, personal description and photograph.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site or App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site or App; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

 

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail or, in relation to the App, when you next start the App. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the App or services.
